New and noteworthy4/18/2023 While watching The Today Show yesterday, Jenna Bush Hager announced The Cloisters, a novel by Katy Hays as her Read With Jenna choice for November. Can’t wait to see how it plays out when it hits theaters on November 18th. The trailer makes it look like The Bear mixed with The Game and Agatha’s Christie’s And Then There Were None. The upcoming black comedy film, The Menu, focuses on a young couple, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult, who visit an exclusive destination restaurant on a remote island where the acclaimed chef, played by Ralph Fiennes, has prepared a lavish tasting menu, along with some shocking surprise. It debuts on Amazon Prime on November 11th. I love Emily Blunt but time will tell if audiences connect with her in The English as an Englishwoman who arrives in the foreboding terrain of the American West in 1890, determined to wreak revenge on the man she blames for her son’s death. It will be interesting to see how the cover this era of the Royal Family that many people already know from history. Elizabeth Debicki finally has the height to play Princess Diana while the Dominic West plays Prince Charles and Imelda Staunton is crowned Queen of this season. The Crown season five debuts on November 9th with another new cast of characters. I love me some 18th-century so I will definitely be watching this chic period piece. It’s not a retelling of the classic tale but a is a prelude to the story about the early years of narcissistic rivals and ex-lovers, Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, who use seduction to control and exploit others. Now that The Serpent Queen has ended, I’m very excited that the sumptuous series Dangerous Liaisons picks up the Sunday time slot on Starz beginning on November 6. The second film follows the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes, played by Millie Bobby Brown, as she takes on her first case as a detective, but to unravel the mystery of a missing girl, she’ll need some help from friends, and brother, played by Henry Cavill. There aren’t many shows the whole family can watch but Enola Holmes 2 airing on November 4 on Netflix is one of the few. The Four Seasons San Domenico Palace in Taormina stands in this season and after seeing the local, I have a feeling they will be seeing a rush of bookings. I actually think I might like this group much better than those in season one who were all pretty insufferable. A few of the actors tapped this season include Theo James, Aubrey Plaza, Michael Imperioli, and F. Here’s what is new and noteworthy for November 2022.ĭid you know that The White Lotus season two premiered this past Sunday night on HBO? It’s the same series but this time it’s set at a new White Lotus hotel in Sicily with an all new cast of characters except for Jennifer Coolidge who reprises her role. This fall is flying by but at least it’s the best season for everything new in tv, film, fashion, books, and more.
